« on: April 04, 2019, 11:32 »
i should have been (actually hoped to have been) out there planting seeds.

But on the good side this bit of Wiltshre seems to be the only place without snow! :(

Cheers,  Tony.

The rain was very welcome here in North Wales, the ground was very dry. In Welsh there is a saying " Heb ddwr - ddim " (Without water - nothing )
We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden.

We escaped the snow here in Reading too, but the rain did give the ground a good old soak, which settled in the onion sets quite nicely

Blimmin' cold though  :(

Yesterday and today I've been planting like a good 'un. Then onto the propagation table and on with the growlux tubes. The latter to help the courgettes and cucumbers along.

Cheers,   Tony      :)

Rain isn't so much an issue, the lack of sunlight is a downer at the moment. I haven't seen more than an hour of weak sunshine in the last four days. I've seen cloudy December periods with brighter daylight than this. Very poor for mid spring. It is a wretched weather front that has stalled over the SE, there is optimism that it will finally shift by tomorrow and the rest of the week looks to have decent sunny intervals.

I am close to Horsham, but on top of the South Downs, and it will rain on the North side, and be sunny mine, or t'other way round.   But the forecast here is for dull rain all the rest of the week, and its cold, white breath at 12 noon.   Mrs Bouquet
