« on: April 13, 2008, 17:31 »
have just taken on a allotment and have started the big dig and have got on well. about a week or so till i can plant on it.
my question is i think im a bit late in the season for some veggies and wanted to see what stage others are at with planting and sowing wether its in trays or straight into the soil.
any help would be great as im no stranger to working with trees or plants but i am to veggies or though i have kept herb beds for some years.
any help would be graetfully recieved. many thanks

Hiya Jarnii

Welcome to the forums

No not too late at all most things can be sown now outside except tender veg like toms, peppers french and runner beans

So in a weeks time when it's ready

Get going with onions sets
Shallots
Cabbage
Carrots
Main crop taters if you can get sets
leeks
Salads of all sorts

Seems spring is on time this year

Good Luck
