Advice on Buying a Howard Gem off ebay

that looks a cracker . but make sure it runs . put it under stress by using it on soil , run through all the gears  including the reverse. listen for grinding.. check the gear box for oil leakage .it may smoke a bit but a girl her age would do ,check the bearing on the shft that drives the tines for oil leakage .some is ok but spilling out means a new seal .not expensive but a begger to do . i estimate it should be worth around the £500 mark ... it could be the bargain of your life time .i got a 352 for £300 complete will tool rack plough hoes etc .so good luck ... and get ur butt down there .pay in cash for it and HAGGLE FOR PAYING CASH .it werks qwicker than a cheque
