I lost one of my leghorns today. Six weeks after losing my beautiful pekin...

I'm now really concerned, as I have NO IDEA why they both died.  Neither showed
any symptoms of illness apart from lethargy the day before.
I'm now really worried there may be something poisonous in the garden.

My remaining chooks all seem fine, along with the 2 chicks (now 12 weeks old!)
I am just so worried because I don't know why they died, and they were both only 18 months old...

So sorry to hear about your leghorn. 

I can't offer much advice except find a chicken friendly vet to give yours a once over.  There are many more experienced people here who I'm sure will have some good advice

The thing with chickens is that we don't know they are ill untill it is to late they hide thing really well. I am so sorry that you have lost your girls, it is always so sad when it happens.
