the quail i have are coturnix and jumbo italian.
they can reach up to 400g ( quite large.)

you want eggs?
i sell eggs....

....yep even this time of year and right thru the winter.
i have hundreds of birds, some coming into lay, some laying and some retired. i usually hatch about 100 at a time in the incuabtors, better than waiting for a broody, but yes you can use broody bantams, providing your birds have had enough grit etc to make the shells quite hard.
quail hardly ever hatch their own eggs.
