what can be planted now?

We,ve got Christmas potatoes in but what else can we plant?

here

not much to sow really, maybe some spring cabbage if you are quick.
You may be able to buy some cabbage or cauliflower for transplanting in the garden centres.
It's that quiet time of year I'm afraid.
On my site they have started digging and getting ready for winter already, where the summer crops are finishing :(

in a few weeks time garden ctrs will have overwinter onions and shallots they are ready a few weeks before spring planted ones and tend not to store for long however its something to keep you occupied during the winter

Thanks Rem, the garden centre we got the potatoes from said they would have sprouts in the next few weeks too :)

It's much too late to be planting brussels sprouts :ohmy:

These are sown in March ish and transplanted in May/June

Today I just put in some cabbage, spring and savoy, and caulie, all from the local nursery. Also sowed some corn salad, arctic lettuce, radish and spinach. Fantastic digging weather!
The less time you have, the more becomes available.

I am trying carrots in the greenhouse.  Sowed some early ones and hoping they will be ready for Christmas.  Saw this in a magazine and thought I would give it a try.
