I am new to this. I just got my hens a weekago and they have not layed any eggs. I have 3 hens that are 8 months old. The lady I got them from said that they had already started laying eggs. They seem to have ajusted well to their new home, they are coming up to me and letting me pet them and are now taking food from my hand. How long does it take for them to start laying again?

I should give them a few weeks to really settle down, they will start laying again in due course it's just that the move will have upset their rhythm.

i was really lucky when i had my second 2, they laid the day after, but now i have rehomed another which are 17months and they still haven't laid, so aswell i think it would be the move. Adjusting takes time. But hey, good things comes to those who wait!!

Usually when people put pictures of their hens on here, they start laying quite soon after that, possibly.
