Wet chooks
« on: June 06, 2009, 09:42 »
My ex-batts are walking round in the rain.  I keep shooing them under cover, but gradually they start roaming again.  Is this ok or should I shut them in there coop?
Many thanks for any advice.

I'm a Susie B too!  How well feathered are they?  I would think as long as they have someplace to be warm and dry off, it would be okay.  I'm no expert though!  I bet they are lovin' it!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

They have missing feathers, but mostly their tummies and neck.  They don't seem to have any comprehension of shade/shelter.  Yesterday I was concerned about sunburn to their bald bits.  I'll stop worring about them in the rain, as they're obviously enjoying themselves.
