small onions ???

small onions ???

i was just wondering , we got a big bag of small onions for pickling so we did that and some used in stiffardo and all thats left are a dozen or so that are sprouting , can i plant these and if i do will they come out as a normal sized onion ?

What happens depends on what they were.

If they were simply small onions, they will now run to seed.

If they were shallots they will grow & divide.

The only small onions that will grow into larger ones are "sets" and I doubt they were these.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
