Apart from the tomatoes it's been a relatively poor year. This felt like the first proper harvest of the year over the weekend!

A good haul today. Carrots, courgettes, French beans, tomatoes, chillies, Swiss chard, 3 different lettuces, 3 butternuts and 3 Crown Prince squash, the last of the blueberries and a large bunch of cosmos and dahlias  :)

A couple of days ago I harvested some purple sprouting broccoli, not sure if it’s late autumn or early spring, I’ll have to look for the label

One intended crop and two bonus ones  :)

The intended one was turnip tops.  I sowed these last autumn under a mesh tunnel and then forgot about them.  That tunnel moved today to a new plot position, so the greens were picked and I got a few bonus turnips as well.

Then I finished emptying out a compost bin and discovered a little haul of new potatoes.  They must have grown late last year from a peeling, as that is when I filled the bin and sealed it.  I don't remember seeing potato foliage though.  It must have sneaked out through the back and been hidden

We got some tiny potatoes. But the soil is filled with petroleum WD40 style lubricant so we can't eat them.

We did a quick plot flit as OH was replacing a rotten post on the raspberry rows, but it started raining so we ran for it.  I did manage to grab a bag of perpetual spinach though  :)

Leeks, not many left.
Lots of daffs for picking
