Cucumbers?
Hi.. all.. just read this posting, It'll be my first time cukes this year,
therefore I found it very interesting.
Trillium, you made a great point ref manure tea, also kelp tea, it reminded
me of many moons ago, my old Grandad had an old "dolly tub," with a tap on it.
He always use to hang an hessian sack, full of horse manure in it. Now I now why, can always remember that, couldn't realy forget -phewweee :!:
Obviously I remember it, even though I can still see him watering the vedge.
Thanks for the interesting thread and the memories, phewee
Bye PAH   :)

I never have spare mesh bags so I just put it into the bucket, then simply try to pour off the liquid rather than the sludge. Not worried if a bit gets in since it's in the watering can rather than the sprayer. Works most ways.

You don't need much space for cucs, Glen. I'm growing Tasty burpless, hardly ever failed me. 3 plants on a 2x1m climbing frame, plenty for us, only if you are strangely fixated on them might need more than 2-3 plants for eating.  Same as corgs, oodles of crop on a plant, just keep picking young.

Anything will do Glen, that you can knock up. Y---Y Turn that upside down that's mine more or less, a few more across. But you could just use a rose arch for a few quid from Wilkos or anything you can easily get. :)

Doesn't matter Glen, anything will do what you can imagine as a framework a few strong posts on the sides and some running across between them for support.
