Title: Bed 2 Progress
Post by: Glen on February 28, 2008, 20:31
As you may of read we are now digging over the second bed in my plot. This is our progress so far! Hopefully, if we get a dry weekend, we shall have it finished and be ready for planting on Sunday!

Thanks Rich it has been hard work but i hope it will soon be worth it!

Were short listing what were going to sow, so i should soon be able to share our final plans with you all. So far were settled on garlic, spuds, runner beans, carrots, cuecumbers and onions.

I just cant wait to get something in the ground!  :D

Really nice job, Glen. You'll have to start a 'rent a father-in-law' business

You could grow your cukes up  two pallets made into an upside down V, cheap and temporary support (slats running horizontal)

Plant your garlic and onions well away from your runners and other legumes they don't get on well together.    and your garlic should be in by now. :)

Do they normally need supporting when they grow then?

Garlic will be going in on Sunday, am i too late?

Yep he is    but I use pellets down the plot, can't at home in case the hens eat them, sharp stick works well on a damp evening .
