Can I use grey water on my compost bins. I seem to recall reading that grey water does not keep very long.

I have heard that grey water can be used for watering - but I'm not sure why you would want to put it on your compost bin?

The 'grey water' will make the compost too wet and cool down thus impeding the work done by the various microbes.   Chuck it down the bog !   :blink: Cheers,   Tony.

OH is into small animal rescuing and uses a product called Hemcore which is compostable.I turned one of my bins at the weekend - rather dry, would normally use rain water but with this dry spell and everything starting to sprout I would prefer to water the plants. Is there a vermin risk?
