Nice one Gaffer, you are further on than me.  I was going to go on Sunday but it snowed so will be planting this weekend - hopefully.

I was going to put them in at the weekend...it is supposed to be nice...but found myself at a loose end this afternoon and it was sunny so I dug another one of my 5' by 12' beds (6 done 6 to do!) and stuck them in
My early spuds (Arran Pilot) take up 2 of the beds so 2nd Earlies and main crop get one bed each - no more room at the inn!!!!

Good luck for the weekend Fluffy....!!

I hope you get over your wind soon Ziggy.  Nothing worse when you're bending to plant a tattie ...

Yup - top of your backswing is really bad.  Top of someone else's backswing gets you a warning letter from the Committee!!

I've learned from others mistakes & my Grandfather's wisom & experience not to rush things.

I'll have a serious think about thinking that I may, possibly perhaps pop some in this weekend. The long range forecast doesn't look too bad.

There again - I may wait a few days!

(Acutually I've had some in at home in a VERY sheltered spot for about 3 weeks now, but the plot is very exposed and a lot of holder's spuds didn't half get it with a hard frost in April last year).
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
