I must have over 100 packets of seed alread and I have just found the moreveg website. I feel a strong urge to order more.

I think I may be addicted.

Interestingly yesterday my 5 year old wrote the word tomato on a piece of paper and put it in an envelpe to order some seeds

I think it's a conspiracy - the T&M catalogue arrived today - get 'em all drunk then they'll order anything on New year's Eve!

This makes me feel a lot better about my own seed buying habit - it doesn;t sound as bad as i thought it was.

But someone bought me a collection of 160 plug plants from suttons for Christmas that I am genuinely worrying about dealing with. I'm going to have to email them and try and negotiate a swap. But what for...? Or maybe try and take on that overgrown half patch next to mine... :?

Actually that is a lot! :shock:  I've got around 30 packets, but I do have 3 plots totalling about 800 sq m and two greenhouses. How much ground do you have?


(This does not include pea and bean seed which are self-saved).

I have a lot of seeds (but not as many as 100!) because i like to have more than one vareity of things, but I just plant enough seeds in pots to allow for failures and for some freecycling and then freecycle the rest once my own have taken!  Realistically if every seed grew that I sowed and I planted each one then I would need a plot for each packet of seeds I think!  But it is addictive!  And I think I may have to buy in some more peas, only got three packets!

I thought I was bad! I have around 30/40 packets of different seeds which I got from Wilko last year, some from allotment friends and some found on the front of magazines.  I didn't really plant much last year as I was busy elsewhere and hadn't managed to remove weeds again.

This year - I am going to put my back into it and hope for the best.

I already have seed trays, compost and everything ready.  It just leaves putting up the poly-greenhouse and planting!

I haven't got all that many packets of seeds...but have just ordered shed loads from the real seed catalogue.Can't wait to grow the cherokee trail of tears climbing beans this year...adn I did get carried away with the order.I also like the fact that this not for profit company actually encourage you to save your own.....

Mind you, I also got carried away with the pre order of seed potatoes.It's all DD's fault of course......had a lovely 15 mins choosing which ones to grow...adn I don't think my plot is big enough for all of them.....
