I noticed on my plot today that some plot holders have already got buds on their daffodils.

Also my broad beans are showing above the soil!  Yeeeeeehhhhh!!!

As far as I remember living here there never was any winter before Feb. You fault me you will. :lol:  but that's when it get's cold on avarage, I bet. 8)

In all honesty, I don't think so Aunty.   If you consider that we are still coming out of the most recent ice age the earth is bound to heat up and it will cool down again in the future.

Without opening an entire debate on whether we're changing the planet or not, change happens and has done throughout the life of the planet so don't sweat yourself over it... just do your bit to save energy and we'll all be fine!

I noticed today that all the gorse is in flower, and there are roses in some gardens which have flowered all winter long. I haven't seen an icicle in years.

Was doing bird watch today with little person and saw sparrowsmoving nesting material into next doors eves,chives are flowering and some parsley seeds I sowed in autumn and came to nothing have just filled a barrel with seedlings and some parsnips are already resprouting...parsnip soup making tommorow!

The comfrey has started pushing new leaves out. If I cloche it now, I should have the first cut ready to put 'neath the earlies. Yippee. :D
