I dont even think there is such a thing to be honest,

evergreen climber, yes

climbering fruiter, yes

cant find one that does both - any pointers ? can be something weird, doesn't have to be raspberries.

I'm after something that I can train up a fence to 6-9 foot ( the fence itself is the boundary of part of my SFG beds, usually have beans or sunflowers/corn there), then train along horizontal wires for another 10-15 foot in both directions. Am trying to cover line of sight between two gardens now a row of trees have come down.

I'd ideally like something productive, coz I'm tight and like something in return for my 4 square foot of ground :-)

alternatively, if anyone has the moon on a stick for me, or Friday's lotto ticket numbers....

thanks in advance.

Dave

Passion flower. :)

More info here. I inherited one at a previous house in the home counties and it grows quite vigorously. I'm not sure where you are, but from posts I'd say you're probably not north of the Midlands. It is edible, some varieties more so than others.

Don't recommend eating the fruits of the Passion flower!

If you read my link Totty, some varieties are more edible than others. :)

We've discussed that aspect of them too, in the past here. :D

Ivy would fall into those categories, although I'm not sure you'd want to eat the fruits! The birds love them though.
