New Gander
« on: January 02, 2009, 14:30 »
I am looking for a new gander. We have bred a few geese for Christmas over the last few years. The breeding geese were hatched from  eggs a friend gave me from an asssortment of x bred geese, we incubated them for fun to amuse the children and they adopted one each.
Unfortunately the gander managed to get into a shed and ate rat bate.
I am looking for a good sized gander to try and get a bit bigger offspring.
I m in the buxton area so will collect from a reasonable distance.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your Gander :(

I can't help I'm afraid, couldn't give up either of my two  :(

Could you possibly get some eggs for the goose to hatch this spring then keep a Gander back from what ever hatches :?

I'll gladly send you some eggies once mine start laying, I have a Roman Gander and a Embden cross Gander running with 2 Embden crosses & a Canadian goose ()

Sarah :)
