Title: wheaty loaf, one for taking with you to the lottie with a flask

This one came from the somerfiend free mag you can pick up in store

Mine is in the oven as I type

Crumble 3 weetabix into a bowl with 175g of brown sugar and 175g of mixed fruit.
Add 300ml milk and mix, leave to soak overnight in the fridge.

Next morning preheat oven to 170c 325f gas mark 3
Add 200g self raising flour and one egg and mix well, place into a 900g loaf time and bake for
one and a half hours

Not sure on the time length I will let you know, mine is due out at 10am

well it was ready in 1 hour 10mins maybe our oven as it does seem to run hotter than it should

Looks good, I can almost smell it too :D Must go I'm making blackcurrant jamand I don't want to burn it like I did with an apricot one I did the other week. ::)

my mums friend used to make a loaf like this but added sliced apples to it - was delish, might give this one a go

Have done a second and replaced the fruit with cherries didnt leave overnight but it seems ok  :lol:
