Can any one tell me what size and colour cat fleas are? I was cleaning out the green house to day and when I lifted up a bucket 3 or 4 of a flea type insect started jumping about.

I do get cats sun bathing in the green house  from time to time but could the fleas not be fleas but another type of insect?

They were about  5 or 6mm long, reddy brown in colour and the jumped about 4 or 5 inches then tried to hide under the soil. they looked like flees.
