Probably be ready by next autumn unless you intend to use it as "wet" or "Green" garlic.

Too late i'd say mines been out since October although some garlic that we bought on holiday in France back in February started to sprout so put them last month in to see what happens and they have started growing

I planted my main crop the week before Christmas i think and i put some more in around february - i know it was in the middle of a cold snap but cant remember when.

The first lot looks pretty good but the second lot hasnot shot through yet.

I had intended to put mine in in November but the ground was waterlogged so I left it.  Then we had snow, so they eventually went in in Feb.

Am not expecting huge bulbs, but some is better than none.

If you have already got the bulbs, you might as well try them.  Plant as you would with onion sets, leaving a 6in spacing between them.
