Title: What is eating my pea seedlings?
Post by: Vegswap on May 06, 2009, 13:26
Something is eating my pea seedlings. I can't see any slug trails. Could it be mice? Here is a link to a picture I took of them if that is of any help.

Yabba's done the picture!

How would I stop mice? I think they ate my carrots last year too. Help!!

We had rats in our vegtable garden recently and they messed about under my netting in the peas - didnt eat them just dug up and flattened a lot.  The rats have now gone but whilst i was trying to find out what was going on i was advised that generally its mice and birds although i'd have thought they would eat the lot not just pick about.

I grew mine mainly indoors then transferred out under netting i also put in a lot of pea sticks stright away - so far so good.

They are being eaten by pea and bean weevel.

We all have them, so don't worry, they do very little real damage.
