Title: pic of homemade composter
Post by: BestBreast on June 14, 2009, 20:42
We have been changing our composter to divide it into 3 sections. We had been storing a load of breezeblocks in it but, we will need these soon; to make a cold store and extend the wall. They were salvaged from Kiddicare a few years ago and are really heavy so OH has been helping lift them out (they are really heavy when wet).  When we have a day free we will crack on with it but for now it will work.  Mostly pallets, reinforced concrete (from our old coal bunker) and wood slotted in to make it easy to access the useable compost. The only cost has been a few metposts to hold the pallets up. The lining was an old pond liner that was in our garden when we first brought the house. Used as a weed suppresent with holes for drainage.
