Right, I've got the cat litter trays now what?
« on: January 24, 2014, 16:51 »
I bought a few cat litter trays from £land today and darned if I can remember what I'm meant to do with them  ???
I think they are for leeks? If not, what else can I use them for?
Do I need to drill drainage holes before use?
Put me out of my misery pleeeeeeeeease.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

If you are planting/sowing in them they will need drainage holes.

They also make good trays to stand pots on in the greenhouse (without holes of course  ;) )

Whatever you do - don't try and drill holes - you can crack the plastic.

Use a hot skewer or similar to melt holes in the bottom.

My first pricking outs of larger bedding plants such as pelargoniums also go in them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Don't forget the radish, and the CnC lettuce.

You could of course be different...........and buy a cat.

Leeks would be my preference - no vet bills!!  ;)
