I have two Black Speckled hens who pluck feathers from the other (different variety) hens and eat them. They have had their beaks trimmed but they still carry on.  Any help would be gratefully received.

I had a hen who did that. It's a very difficult habit to break    

We had to resort in the end to an anti peck beak ring which prevented her closing her beak onto a feather.  Some people don't approve of them but it did help to stop poor old Gerty looking oven ready

How long did you have to keep it on?

That depends on how determined the hen is to feather peck.  You'll just have to play it by ear.
