I have had trouble with one of mine eating feathers off another, and I've used stockolm tar, purple spray etc but nothing worked. I then bought 4 more hens to add to my remaining 2. The culprit had more bottoms to choose from. I fitted a beak ring and it worked straight away. As it took me so long and I was a bit distressed doing it I'm loathed to remove it as she still tries to peck but it doesn't result in feather loss. The question is ,I know it has to be removed eventually but how long can I keep it on. She's 3 years old and I put it on 2 weeks ago. Please tell me I have a few weeks yet .

they can eventually wear them out and wear them out so it may just drop off.
Staffies are softer than you think.
