I have six hens, my next door neighbour has 23 plus a cockerel. Unfortunately, the cockerel fancies my six more than his 23, and there is no barrier between our two houses. Tonight, I discovered the cockerel in our hen house. Settled down for the night.
I wouldn't bother too much, but I look after mine, cleanliness, feed etc. Regrettably, my neighbour is a bit lax. So I'm a bit concerned about spreading infection, mites etc.
There is no point in asking him to keep his cockerel in his own garden. Fencing it in would be the only option, and that won't happen.
So, anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to keep the cockerel out? I should add, it is a bit 'vicious'. My dog, an alsatian, keeps well out of it's way!

tell your neighbour have a word

You could put a netting barrier up along where the fence should be.

You really need to have a word with your neighbour if it is a vicious bird. They can do some real damage if they take a dislike to you. If he can not control where his bird goes he should not have it especially a vicious bird.
