Just caught one of the Welsummer treading one of the other Welsummers!  :blink:

All the others thought it was a fight, so all hell broke loose (briefly, thank god).

Should I be worried, or could it just have been some kind of rush of hormones kind of thing?

Don't worry, its just a dominance thing    If you have no cockerel, one of the girls can start to assume that role and use cockerel tricks to get the others to submit to her more readily

Just an Attilla the Hen  

Earlier on one of my horrible lot attacked Beyonce my Blue Orp bantie, who is biggest of the lot but a real cowardy custard.  She got a claw torn off down to the quick so purple spray later    Most of which I ended up wearing  

Foghorn the cockerel went beserk and duffed the wrong doer up a bit - more noise than anything.  You see the velociraptor heritage at times
