They love it over there but I have no idea why seeing as its so damn warm in the whole vivvarium!
-
Grannie says they huddle under the lamp if they are too cold and move right away from it if they are too warm.
-
Just been watching the chick cam. Does the vivarium have a cover over it at all Min?
As its a vivarium, the heat should be well distributed, but the chicks are showing classic signs of not being warm enough. Seems strange I know, but one will jump into the centre which is the warmest, pushing the others out, then another one almost immediately does the same thing.
If the top isn;t covered, the heat could be dissipating, therefore not giving them enough warmth. But they still need ventilation so its not too hot.
Do you have a thermometer in there? it should be reading 35.5C at the moment
-
Oh I see what you mean, Grannie. I'm watching them now and they are all jumping or climbing over each other to get into the brightest part of the light in the corner.
Lovely little chicks, Min. Thanks for setting up the camera to share them with us. :)

Itsits at 35 degrees so they are warm enough! It has a lid as well i think they just like the pile on effect! When i came down this morning they were all spread out under the light sleeping soundly !!
-
Ah, now I know why it looked familiar :D
-
Well they are coming on strong and sorry to those who have had viewing problems the last week. I couldnt fix it as I was in the Isle of Wight with the mud at the festival working!
All should be able to see them getting bigger now :D :D :D

How lovely, they are all mooching around having a wing stretch and preen. Can't wait to see them getting bigger.....thanks for setting up the cam.
