I use it all year round, mixing it in the pellet stew I give in addition to dry pellets.
Most people put it in the water but make sure receptacles aren't metal..
It is a digestion aid and therefore promotes general well-being.
Mine are certainly healthy!

I tend to consider it a psuedo scientific health "tonic".

Mine get it mixed in with the water when I can be bothered, or sometimes, in a mini feeder undiluted.
We use chemicals in this garden, just as god intended

I use it all the time in the water, 10ml per litre.
If you do decide to use it keep an eye on them as they don't always like it and some may dehydrate.
I heard one of the reasons is it balances the ph of the stomach, certain germs prefer it alkaline so the acid kills them off.

why would you want to increase the dosage? I find that if I offer a drinker with plain water (or even a drinker with crushed garlic in it) and another with apple cider vinegar then this gives the birds a choice to decide which they prefer.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Mine are wierd when it comes to garlic, they hate it in the water yet they will eat it when mixed in the porridge

I use 10ml per litre. I would think they would refuse to drink if you use to much.

Hi Aidy    I don't offer garlic, should I????????????     What is it for????  Also is your porridge made up or is it dry.  My girls love dry porridge.

I'm going to get some Apple cider vinegar too.

By the way, is your countdown for Rebellion by any chance

What is it about my kitchen that is so more appealing to the chickens than the back garden!!!   ;-)

My porridge is wet, I mix a good handfull of layers, some finely diced carrot, chopped up sweetcorn, peas, shredded kale and crushed garlic, to this I mix 5ml of Battles Poultry Tonic to 100ml of hot water. Mix well let it cool a little and give it to them, they love it. Garlic is a good anti-septic and kills a lot of the bugs and colds off so they say, I know it helps to keep the x bats going.

The Punk fest is indeed Rebellion here in tropical Blackpool.
