Noooo - stay away from the mushrooms if you are pregnant!! No obviously the morning sickness depends on the person but nothing really worked for me to stop it.  I lost loads of weight though which was a good thing because I needed to and ended up having healthier pregnancy as a result.  Culminated in planned home delivery with just gas and air after nightmare c-section first time round.  Sorry, I digress!!

sorry for your friend's sickness;it's just horrible :x .  hopefully it'll pass after month 3 :D I've just remembered ice pops helped!! but not mushrooms :D

Where I used to work they had Saturday morning mushroom forays and we'd have a cook-up. Chanterelles were quite common and when you think how much they cost to buy    Gorgeous they are too. We had slippery jacks but I didn't like those, birch boletus, cocky lads, shaggy ink caps, puffballs (I didn't like those), field mushrooms which were delicious, and we got some lovely big fat horse mushrooms also delish.

Our chaps were taught by the Polish guys who knew all about foraging. They used to pickle them, but they look very strange in the jar  :D
