Title: Anyone tried predatory mites to control red mites?
Post by: VeggieVirgin on August 28, 2014, 21:19
Has anyone tried using the "good guy" mites sold by Chickenvet to control red mites in their coops? I was going to buy some, but have been somewhat discouraged from trying this new method by the ott £8 postage for 100g of mites - it's a lot of money if you're not sure whether they'll actually work or not.

no I looked at them but was worried what would happen when all the redmites had been eaten. In the wild predatory species have after eating all their prey have turned on other things to eat. I know the suppliers say they will just die out, but will they??

Hillfooter's slury works for me and I have tried other methods. Very easy to buy stuff online and very easy to apply
