Magic skip!
« on: November 15, 2008, 13:55 »
On the way back from the butchers, bakers and barbers I knocked on a door which had a skip in front of it... "Ave owt ya want out of it" was the gentle reply to my query.

Think'll paint and keep the bench and take my current scabier bench up the plot to have under the willow arch. The pallets will be used to repair a shed that I'm having on the home garden as a "boys shed" and bolt hole.

I'm often amazed by what people throw away.
Well done you, that bench looks a comfy spot
to ponder on..... :D

those baskets are a boon  :D   I cover brassicas with them and use them as sieves, oh not bad for carrying stuff in either and storing onions etc in the shed

Our bench is exactly the same and that also came from a skip.  It sits outsout the shed on the lotty.  It is very comfy.  I know that because so many people sit on it and have a cup of tea.  Well done

For those of you who are interested Rosebys are going into administration and I went down there to see if they would sell me those baskets...they gave me a couple for a quid each.  Apparently everything must go.

I could not carry any more home on the bus with my buggy :(  I got enough strange stares and questions as it was.

Shopping baskets are great.

I park in a city centre multistory most days. Old folks use these wheeley trollies (plastic things) instead of the traditional metal trollies, at marks and sparks food hall (lucky them!).
They get left outside the car park, and I'm collecting quite a few now. I don't think they are meant to leave the store.

Hopefully along with a borrowed water cooler bottle, I'll use this to lug water to my plot when it gets warmer.
