I deeply love green calabrese and have tried different varieties in the past. This year I grew "Monterey" and was very disappointed. The best one in my mind is "Corvet" but it is so difficult to find - don't know why. Eseeds do it so am going to order some for next year. What's your thoughts?

A few years back my friend had some Olympia F1 seedlings that he had left over and gave to me and I was very impressed with them.  They were ready in June with amazing heads on them and very tasty!  Johnson Seeds and Dobies sell the seeds.  This year I grew Marathon F1 and they were disappointingly early and heads more like broccoli spears but still nice - I'm wondering if the cold wet summer had anything to do with it.

In my experience I would say "yes". We grew some excellent Samson F1 last year with large heads. We grew the same variety this year and it wasn't so good.
