Title: Dying Damson trees?
Post by: reddytogarden on October 19, 2019, 11:48
Hello, I have 4 damson trees in my garden and last year (I only moved in last year) they were lush and bountiful but this year the leaves were patchy and ill looking and they all fell off the tree very early. They are not happy at all. Should I prune them? Feed them? I have no idea! Two are about 3 m and 2 about 4.5m.

Could be something to do with the weather this year so can you post some pics of the tree plus close-ups of a branch and leaf as it will help us to find out the problem if we can. Thanks.

I would not be too sure they are dying to be honest. We had a very dry hot summer down here and my plum trees shed their leaves very early then we had a period of wetter weather and the started to regrow  summer side shoots ! Some started to flower!!!!! The plants are just weather / season confused
Wait until the spring before you make a judgement .
