Hi,

I've harvested some real nice specimens of cabbage and cauliflower recently the size of footballs.

However its a glut and way to much to store in a freezer i have.

So, what its the best way to store them in a modern house?

I shred and blanch mine - one thats done they really don't take up much freezer space at all. 5 hispi cabbages barely made a freezer bag full.

You could always make sauerkraut with the cabbage:

There is an old recipe here, and also one relating to a 50 gallon barrel if you are totally overwhelmed with cabbage
