what would i do with out my beloved koi carp.the garden would not be the same without the sound of running water    yes they are my pets        who else keeps koi carp

We do, they are much admired by visitors,in fact a lady who visited in the summer was in danger of falling in she was so intrigued. I told her if she did to stand up as I wouldn't be able to help her for  :lol: :lol:

They are full of character and very tame. They might not be the most valuable sorts, but they are to us  ;)

Here is a photo of some I saw on holiday recently. They were at the Loro Parque in Tenerife, where they are an amazing draw right at the entrance

We saw those at loro too. There was also a stork standing by  :ohmy: We did wonder how many were lost to them.

Those storks were still about. I think the koi pond is difficult for them to access, as it has trees or building to make flying in difficult, and most of the water is very deep.

They might get a few from the shallows if the walked in from further away
