What's brewing
« on: July 27, 2015, 19:47 »
I've just started my first tea wine... running a little short of demijohns now because I've got the following on the go:
redcurrant/blackcurrant
rhubarb
rhubarb and elderflower
gooseberry and elderflower
strawberry
redcurrant
and a couple of others of a 'fruit cocktail' type ;-)

What have you got on the go at the moment?

HIc hic,

Just bottled the rhubarb wine - alas a little left over so a sample was had.  Golly, it knocks your socks off already, and is as clear as crystal.  Should be even better after a year of laying down.

The gooseberry and elderflower is still bubbling, but only just, should be ready to be moved into the next demijohn soon.

Waiting for the elderberries now to make some blackberry and elderflower wine.

Oh, and I can thoroughly recommend rhubarb vodka.....🍷🍷🍷🍷

Rhubarb wine all bottled/polypinned up.  The Range 30 bottle rose kit (best one I've found) clearing for a few more days.  Cellar 7, 30 bottle red kit (for the 'winter festival'  :tongue2:) coming to the end of its ferment.  The another rose kit and a 'quaffing' red kit from The Range to to get on.

Have some fruit in the freezer (apricots, gooseberries, strawberries), although not in any serious quantities, so may do a small batch of each as the nights draw in.  :)

1 courgette and 3 elderberry on the mat.
2 pea pod and 2 elderberry sitting on the floor waiting to be racked.
4 empty demijohns left, perfect for the racking.
need more demijohns
