Title: Cucumber crystal apple
Post by: Yorkie on June 17, 2016, 18:23
I have some plants of this, currently indoors awaiting potting into final pots.

It's an outdoor ridge type but I've never had much success from it in the garden.

I'm wondering whether it can in fact be grown in a greenhouse despite its description?

If it grows well it might swamp the greenhouse  :D

As long as you get plenty of pollinators in there, it should be ok.

Ah, it will be on a waist-high bench so might be too tall for its position.  The greenhouse has auto-openers but otherwise is shut up (it's not mine).

So it might be best outside, perhaps into the soil in an attempt to actually get fruit?

Yes, better outside then.

And with a watering tube set in the ground a little way from the stalk.  Mine damp off so easily  :(  when the stalk gets wet, but need lots of water ....   >:(
