UUGGHH maggots in the compost bin

UUGGHH maggots in the compost bin

Just found loads of larva in the compost bin.  Any advice on what I do to get rid of them :ohmy: :ohmy:

I am with the leave them alone lobby. The maggots are part of the breaking down process along with bacteria, fungus and even slugs.

Copy the Aussies, hang corks round you hat brim.

The maggots wont be there long they will soon turn into flies in all that heat. Just open the lid and they will fly away lol.. :)

I''ll swop your maggots fir the little mouse i found in my dalek yesterday - my husbad came running out to see why i was screaming. She frightened me as i was looking fir slugs and she popped up an inch from my nose!!
