I agree lack of drainage holes probably the main problem!

They are in these laundry tub things with handles and I forgot to add holes.

Added them now and put a full gallons through to hopefully leach it out
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

If something has been overfertilised in a container.

Does anyone know if putting a lot of water through it would be enough to dilute the problem?

Swift potatoes are known as the earliest cropper on the market. They can be lifted as soon as just 7 weeks from the time of planting

Got the link to work in the end. Was my work PC playing about.

I'll have a furtle tonight and maybe even pour out a batch.

It has been 13 weeks after all and I'll post the results.

So , I had a furtle and found a golf ball sized potato near the top, so thought! I'm tipping them out.....

Look at these babies!!

It's the 1st of May. And I have a bumper crop of large new (swift) potatoes!!!

Thanks BabbyAnn, your a genius :)

If anything, they're a little big

wow - I started to suspect the "natural" die back once I'd figured the variety was Swift, but your little harvest is even better than expected.  Well done you - enjoy  :D
