  I change the compost in my greenhouse every 3rd year. Is that about right? What is the best soil to use? I normaly use peat. I grow tomatos and peppers.

I change the soil in my greenhouse every year - I grow the same crops, in the same place, every year and the inside of the greenhouse doesn't get the really low temperatures to kill the bugs that open ground normally gets.

I use 50% rotted manure and 50% garden compost. The resulting stuff goes onto the veg patch where the Potatoes were (Tomatoes and Potatoes in the same family, so same bugs, so I figure if I put it there when that ground next sees potatoes in 3 years time I should be OK.

So basically my greenhouse is just the last stage of my composting process
