The Fatsia has a New Home
« on: March 21, 2021, 16:04 »
After no offers of help, I have done it myself.   Had to move 3 victorian chimneys to a new sight.  Then get out Garden Vac and hoover up.  Then get Fatsia out of existing pot, which I couldn't lift.   Took it out and carried up the steps across the gravel bed to the new huge container.  In the bottom of this beast, I put bio yogurt pots and broken up lumps of styrene (from next doors new cooker).  Covered it all with some old horticultural fleece.   Then I had to carry the large multi-purpose sack down garden, and very carefully plant it up.
This took me a couple of hours.  Finished -  no had to go and clean up the other side of garden were the smaller container lived.   The Fatsia is now its nice shady new home.   2 chances.    But I am pleased with myself.
Still lots more to plant up, but they are smaller.    Mrs Bouquet
