Planting ideas please
« on: October 13, 2020, 16:35 »
I am going to extend by containers, but the area will be in the shade until about 4.30 pm in the summer when it may be very hot.   I have looked so much I am totally confused.   Any ideas will be welcome.    I am going to buy a Hosta named "Big Mama" now I have info on the copper bands.   Also I would like some of them to be about 3 to 4ft tall and evergreen if possible.   thanks,   Mrs Bouquet  (I can buy large plants at our nursery called "Big Plants" )  :D  Mrs Bouquet

Hi,  My son bought me a Coprosma earlier in the year and I planted it in a large ceramic planter. Think it has chocolate in its' name!! :D  They grow to about 3.5m but I would say that is in the garden border. However mine is flourishing and changing colour now the temps. have dropped. Probably I will have to make it a cover for the really cold weather, but that needs to researched, unless anyone on here knows.
