Hi folks. 

I had a bit of a surprise the other day to find that one of my apricot trees (in a large pot) is covered in fruit.  The fruits range in size from 0.5 cm to nearly 2cm!  The other one (a different type) is only now coming into leaf.

It has been very mild down here, and I was just wondering what my chances of keeping them on the tree were, if I give it a good feed and make sure it has enough water?  Also, will I need to rush out with the fleece if it looks like we'll get a late frost?

Fruit trees like that will always respond to steady warm temps, and yes, feeding and watering are needed to keep them going.

Definitely have fleece ready if you suspect frosts are likely. The fruit are easily damaged. I have to do that with my pear tree. It always wants to flower when frosts are expected.
