Title: My Birthday
Post by: mrs bouquet on June 22, 2019, 11:02
Firstly, thank you for all your message, they were lovely.
My day was two-fold.  In the morning I had to go and see the spinal surgeon.  Next move is to have 5 injections into my spine.  He said I will be half asleep and not feel a thing !!!!
Then a friend and I went to the M & S superstore on the way home, and had one scone, cream and jam, and a slice of carrot cake.  We cut them in half and had a minimalist tea  ;)  I also was taken out for a meal in the evening by Daughter and S-in-L, and got home in time to watch the Looming Towers.
To finish off, I will leave you the message on the card from my Daughter  :-

I've driven you nuts, and turned you grey,
I've made you proud, and I've spent your pay.
I've stressed you out and I've hurt you bad.
I've made you laugh, and I've sent you mad.
I've given you smiles, I've made you sob,
'cause I am your kid, and thats my Job

Never truer words,        So thank you all again,  regards  Mrs Bouquet

What a fabulous verse that says everything in just a few lines. I so hope the spinal injections will help you to sort out your problem. If they're anything like I had when I had my hip op I was aware of some things going on but felt I was floating on a fluffy white cloud and couldn't have given a stuff!

I have no children but I call my niece-in-law "my niece-in-lieu" and she calls me "Mama Jacqui" and I've got a mug and birthday card to prove it! Don't it make you feel good!!!!!

What a lovely verse! Thanks for sharing it.  :D

I hope you don't have to wait too long for your spinal injections, as they may help you a lot
