Can anyone help?  We are a privatly run allotment site and rent the land of a local landowner.  Does anyone know whether or not we are bound by allotment law?  We have written a constitution and rules which we have taken from various council run allotments etc.

I think that your wisest move, as an association, would be to join the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners. They are the Allotmenteers "Union". Welcome to the site, by the way.

Private allotments do not have the same protection as a "statutory allotment" site but are regarded in the same way as "temporary allotment" sites.
