allotment law

Can anyone help?  We are a privatly run allotment site and rent the land of a local landowner.  Does anyone know whether or not we are bound by allotment law?  We have written a constitution and rules which we have taken from various council run allotments etc.

I think that your wisest move, as an association, would be to join the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners. They are the Allotmenteers "Union". :D Welcome to the site, by the way. :D

Private allotments do not have the same protection as a "statutory allotment" site but are regarded in the same way as "temporary allotment" sites.
