Unidentified growing object in my compost!

Courgette or squash?  The "pod" will be the seed - which will fall off when the seed leaves are ready to pop out.

Perhaps a seed that was left in the compost that has germinated. Bit cold for it though!

So the mystery is solved! Planting a few chili seeds and notice the packet that had a single pumpkin seed in is empty. Dearest daughter eventually admits that she took it and put it in the module with the shallots! I'd be laughing (I will), except she lied about it until realised she was 100% rumbled

Now what the heck do I do with a pumpkin seedling please?!?! I have no idea.....  :blink:

pot it up and keep it somewhere warmer until you can plant it out on the plot - It'll get quite big in the meantime though  - so be warned
