hello just found you all.

i have been keeping chickens for 6 months with no problems untill sly old fox came a visiting.
Any way ginger had met mr fox before, and never showed any signs of the encounter, Never stopped laying and seemed well.
Her last encounter was two weeks last sunday , since then she as not layed and now seems to be molting   The run is full of feathers. i noticed to night when she stretch and shook her self the feathers just fell out???
So any advice would be great.

Most hens moult at this time of the year and will stop laying as they need to produce new feathers.

some give cat food (meat variety) to help them with the moulting. Speckles looks half plucked at the moment.
