I have just purchased an M27 self fertile step over apple tree for the plot. I am going to get another one in the future but I am just trying to work out the spacing so I get it right.
As always i have read many conflicting opinions but i think the consensus is around 10ft between trees. Does this sound about right?

Monty Don was planting some step over trees on Gardeners' World last night. It might be worth seeing if he talked about spacing-I wasn't giving it my full attention.
